before your tan

 

  • Exfoliate your skin the night before. This promotes an even coverage and lengthens the duration of your tan.
  • Shave at least 8 hours prior and avoid waxing, dermabrasion and facials up to 24 hours before.
  • Do not moisturise; avoid wearing make-up, moisturiser, deodorant and perfume as this acts as a barrier to the solution. If you are unable to shower just prior to your tanning session, don’t worry as we have wipes to remove makeup and deodorants.  
  • Have dark, loose-fitting clothing available to wear after your tan.
  • Have a manicure or pedicure before treatment.

  

what to aviod after your tan

    

  • Showering, rain, sweating, and exposure to water for at least 8-10 hours.
  • Wearing a tight bra, socks or shoes after your tanning session.
  • Strenuous exercise; sweating can inhibit the development of your tan
  • Soaking in salt water (ocean), chlorine or warm baths can rapidly exfoliate your tan or cause it to come off unevenly.
  • Avoid waxing, laser hair removal, depilatory hair removers and body hair bleaching.
  • Avoid loofahs, loofah gloves or exfoliating products
  • Keeping hydrated skin is essential in maintaining your tan so moisturise regularly (twice daily).
